HR Advisor

Responsibilities

Counsels/coaches frontline and department operations leaders on employee relations, performance management, complex accommodations/return-to-work, job evaluations, and other talent initiatives and issues; provides options in a consultative approach. Provides interpretation of complex and interdependent HR policies and practice situations. Assists with communicating policy and procedure updates to appropriate audiences. Provides HR input on operational decisions to frontline leaders. Engages leaders to identify options and resources to meet operational needs and to build support for identified solutions. The HR Advisor will collaborate with other parts of HR in a team approach to support customers' operational needs and operationalize HR programs and solutions. Interprets and analyzes workforce analytics in order to guide decision making and recommendations. Assists with accreditation surveys and internal audits to ensure compliance and consistency. This is accomplished by providing subject matter expertise on policies, employment/labor law, the investigative process, understanding trends and applying best practices. Uses critical thinking, judgment and persuasion to drive decisions that are in alignment with Mayo Clinic values, recognizing site and culture differences.

Schedule Details

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; varies based on client needs

Primarily a remote work position; however, must live within driving distance of Mayo Clinic Scottsdale or Phoenix campus.

Additional Qualifications

Communication, negotiation, mediation, agility, service excellence, project management, analytics, problem solving, and critical thinking skills required. The following certifications are preferred: Professional in Human Resources (PHR); Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR); Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP); Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
