ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are searching for an HR and Payroll Business Partner to provide support to our Belgian colleagues. Our HR Business Partners are responsible for driving HR processes, policies, practices and programs to ensure and maintain consistency across the organization. Our role will require the person to be based in Lier 4 days per week and 1 day from home.

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide generalist HR advice in all areas of HR to managers and colleagues. The function is combination of hard HR and soft HR.

  • Undertake payroll on monthly basis including colleague time and attendance, payroll calculation, tracking holidays etc. for the white collar colleagues in Belgium.

  • As the HR point of contact for all colleagues in Lier, act as a trusted point of contact on HR matters including performance management, colleague development, recruitment and conflict resolution.

  • Partner with the Belgian management team to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with HR colleagues across EMEA on HR best practices and initiatives.

  • Identify training needs within the plant based on skill gaps and business requirements to enhance colleague skills and competencies.

  • Promote a positive work culture that aligns with company values and fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Maintain all HR records, Payroll Program and Workday system updates.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, including talent management, performance management, and employee relations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian labor laws and regulations.

  • Proven experience as an HRBP or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably within a multi-national organization.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A hands-on approach to problem-solving.

  • Masters degree in human resources or equivalent experience.

  • Fluency in Dutch and English.
