WBG People and Culture Vice Presidency (PaC) is focused on delivering high value HR services to drive organizational performance and help make the WBG the employer of choice in international development. In this regard, the PaC Careers, Performance and Learning Department (PaCCL) delivers innovative solutions and strategies, and global programs and services across the talent management lifecycle for the World Bank. The position will provide qualitative and quantitative analytics, data visualization and cross-cutting talent insights in a dynamic and integrated manner to inform forecast trends, present information, and talent management processes to close the gap. This role will enable us to advance the integrated talent management agenda by linking the various data elements from across the talent management lifecycle.
The position will report to PaCCL Front Office based in Washington, DC and provide cross-cutting support to the Department.
Duties & Accountabilities
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following to support the PaCCL department design and delivery of the integrated talent management agenda and key corporate initiatives
β’ Undertake data mining, collection, processing, and analysis, using statistical techniques to identify trends and extract valuable insights and prepare accurate and robust data and metrics; β’ Develop and maintain solutions, including data automation and improvement of data accuracy in systems, data visualization, information extraction, information retrieval, portfolio identification, natural language processing for unstructured data analysis, machine/deep learning for structured data; β’ Develop and maintain business intelligence systems, dashboards or other appropriate reporting tools to provide customizable visualization solutions for data analysis, monitoring, and management to enhance functionality and user experience based on business needs and analytical priorities;β’ Using HR information systems, conduct general research, analysis, interpretation and visualization of data, provide qualitative and quantitative information regarding talent management initiatives and priorities, prepare summary reports and presentations tailoring insights to support PaCCL business needs;β’ Design and provide innovative, high quality, meaningful reports, and ad hoc data, in different areas of PaCCL to inform direction, decision and areas of focus; β’ Assist in the development of standard reports, presentations, metrics that build consistent approaches and practices to support program design across the PaCCL department;β’ Track, monitor, help implement and evaluate the PaCCL team's programs and initiatives to achieve the objectives of integrated talent management;β’ Troubleshoot and problem-solve data issues when they arise and develops quality assurance practices to catch and resolve issues.β’ Manage Power BI training programs for PaCCL community and provide technical mentoring for less experienced staff; andβ’ Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Selection Criteria
β’ Master's degree in data science, business administration, human resources, finance, or a similar field and 2 years of relevant experience; or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years' relevant experience.β’ Knowledge of HR systems and data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, building dashboards and providing mockup designs, and experience in working Business Objects or any reporting tools including database experiences.β’ Experience and understanding of the Talent Management lifecycle and processes.β’ Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and creativity; demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis, able to articulate issues and recommend solutions to effectively drive fact-based decision-making. β’ Experience in designing business reports and graphical presentations, conveying analytical concepts, and dashboard design.β’ Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of data privacy, data handling, and data classification; ability to exercise exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive HR data. β’ Proficiency in all Microsoft Windows applications (e.g., Excel, Word, and Power Point), including advanced spreadsheet design, lookup tables, manipulation, and analytical skills. β’ Ability to build strong working relationships with counterparts with counterparts across PaCCL. Department, PaC VPU and the World Bank Group, and support Senior Staff and Managers effectively.β’ Ability to translate complex data for a variety of audiences, and experience with preparing client-ready materials.β’ Attention to detail, strong project management, coordination, and organizational skills.β’ Demonstrates professional integrity, willingness, and flexibility to 'roll-up your sleeves' to engage in all aspects of HR work from identification and design to implementation.β’ Self-starter, multi-tasker and demonstrated team player, including the ability to work effectively in a virtual and multi-cultural team-based environment.
