HR Business Advisor
Job Description
Provides consultative services to senior operational leaders and teams to assist in achieving strategic objectives. Delivers forward-thinking HR solutions to the business. Counsels and collaborates with leaders on initiatives that drive employee engagement, leadership and organizational effectiveness, and other workforce/talent solutions. Provides workforce insight and foresight to inform business strategy and planning. The HR Business Advisor will collaborate with teams within HR in delivering future focused planning services (workforce, succession, organizational design, etc.). Analyzes workforce trends to identify proactive solutions. Leads multi-functional teams to design and implement HR solutions that are relevant to customers. Advises on complex matters dealing with employee/employer relationship to include high risk issues that are behavioral and/or performance based. This is accomplished through understanding trends and issues, applying best practices principles to support the enterprise, providing subject matter expertise on policies, employment/labor law, and the investigative process, understanding trends and applying best practices; Uses persuasion to drive decisions that are in alignment with Mayo Clinic values, recognizing site and cultural differences.
Primarily a remote work position. However, must live within reasonable driving distance of Mayo Clinic Arizona campus for onsite client support/expectations

Qualifications
Bachelor degree and 8 years relevant HR experience or a Master's degree and 5 years relevant HR experience. Knowledge of other HR disciplines required.
Additional Qualifications
Communication, negotiation, mediation, agility, service excellence, project management, analytics, problem solving, and critical thinking skills required. The following certifications are preferred: Professional in Human Resources (PHR); Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR); Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP); Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
