As the HR Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for providing day to day HR support to the team, including employee relations, training & staff development, along with recruiting and onboarding in partnership with our Talent Acquisition team. You will also oversee the implementation of policies and procedures aligned to the office and Jack Morton objectives and goals, as well as the rollout of HR initiatives to the office as needed and can be called on as a trusted advisor to managers and employees in guiding talent decisions.
What you’ll be doing…
- Implement HR initiatives that will assist the team in meeting annual goals
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for all employees, including managers and leadership, under the office umbrella
- Develop relationships with managers and staff, and serve as an advisor across a multitude of HR topics
- Assist with delivery of talent updates at Quarterly Financial Reviews, and Annual Talent Reviews
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers on recruitment efforts for full time staff
- Partner with managers to ensure that every employee has a thoughtful and inclusive new hire on boarding, and exit process
- Lead the performance review and compensation process ensuring fair and competitive pay practices that reflect individual contributions to the organization
- Support managers in making promotions and pay decisions for employees ensuring internal equity
- Manage the annual bonus and merit increase process ensuring internally equitable and externally competitive pay levels for staff
- Support managers and supervisors in employee relations, performance management, and engagement practices and strategies
- Respond to employee complaints and concerns; conduct internal investigations as needed, while ensuring compliance with applicable Company policy and federal, state, and local statutes
- Partner with SLT to lead employee initiatives to meet office HR / DEI goals to enhance workplace climate (diversity, work-life integration, implementation of a mentoring program, summer internship program, etc.)
- Provide support for company-wide HR initiatives that support our strategic objectives to lead the industry and grow talent

If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might help if…
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience (2-3 years’ experience supporting HR in an agency setting; a minimum of 2-3 years in a HR generalist or similar role)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity of employment law, both state and federal, including but not limited to: ADAAA, FMLA, EEO, FLSA
- Ability to work independently, completing a heavy workload within established timeframes
- Ability to analyze and navigate complex and ambiguous situations
- Proven ability to provide solutions to challenging employee issues and situations, while promoting a productive and respectful work environment
- Ability to establish relationships while maintaining a neutral and unbiased stance
- Ability to use sound judgment, use discretion and escalate issues when appropriate
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to influence without authority

In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City the standard base pay range for this role is $65,000.00 – $100,000.00 annually, depending on relevant factors including experience, internal equity and market considerations. This base pay range is specific to Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations.
