PMG is looking for an exceptional HR Business Partner to support and enable talent across key departments in PMG. This is a strategic and visible role within a people-centric business with an award-winning culture. General Description:

  • Consults with leaders and managers across teams, providing talent strategy and HR guidance to help maximize the impact of their people
  • Participates in regular team meetings with assigned departments/teams to understand strategic priorities, and identify talent opportunities and roadblocks
  • Diagnoses current and potential talent issues and develops customized solutions that deliver maximum business impact/ROI
  • Analyzes internal and external talent trends and metrics in partnership with the People Operations group to develop solutions, programs and policies that support the business
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations and outcomes
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to people managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Administers key talent programs and processes for assigned groups, including Talent Calibration, Succession Planning and Promotions
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Works with team leaders to understand talent needs then partners with relevant leaders within People & Culture - ex. Talent Acquisition and L&D - to ensure solutions will meet the needs and deliver the desired impact
  • Partners with People Operations to ensure optimal employee experience within assigned departments/teams during key employee lifecycle moments like new employee onboarding and integration, promotions or internal transfers
  • Provides guidance and input on department and/or team restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure training objectives are met and programs are successful
  • Collaborates closely with other HRBPs to continually evolve and refine our HRBP service model and best practices to ensure the role delivers maximum value and impact to the organization
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and collaborates with People & Culture team members across key projects

Skills & Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years generalist HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HRBP role
  • Experience supporting business units of 200+ individuals, in a fast-growth organization of 500+ employees
  • Professional services, digital marketing, tech and/or start-up experience a big plus
  • Entrepreneurial, persistent, and resourceful, with the ability to learn quickly
  • Experience partnering with director and executive level professionals
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Strong team and collaborative player
  • People management experience a plus
  • PHR/SPHR/GPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or equivalent certification preferred
