HR Business Partner Director
Job Description
Exciting opportunity for those who love to build. You will join as Energy Recovery’s first ever HR Business Partner and report directly to the CHRO. In this role you will provide strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of our Talent Management, Development, and Organizational Effectiveness work. We’re a small, but growing global company. You have to thrive in rapid altitude shifts from the strategic to the tactical to succeed.Â
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders to ensure that employees have clear work expectations, which align with the team objectives tied to Energy Recovery’s strategic planÂ
- Identify training needs for business functions, new managers, and broad career growth plans for employeesÂ
- Partner with Total Rewards in the design, development and rollout of key annual talent programsÂ
- Train and coach leaders for key conversations that drive team performance, enabling high confidence in the performance of team membersÂ
- Coach leaders to ensure that employees receive balanced and actionable feedback that support our performance frameworkÂ
- Partner with executive leaders to provide the strategic guidance aligning people programs to business outcomes and ensuring high employee engagementÂ
- Lead, evaluation and monitor training programs to ensure success and follow up to ensure training objectives are metÂ
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders to drive critical talent-related business decisions including org design, planning, succession planning and change managementÂ
- Lead end-to-end change efforts that deliver the measurable results aligned with project goalsÂ
- Design and implement practices that enable continuous improvement of a high-performance cultureÂ
- Collaborate with other HR teams (Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Total Rewards, etc.) in the design, implementation, and measurement of HR ProgramsÂ
- Provide coaching support for site or client group leadership, building skills, knowledge, and competencies to achieve results and make employee-related decisions in a fast-changing environmentÂ
- Perform other related duties as assignedÂ
Skills & Requirements:
- BA/BS degree required in related field; Master's degree preferredÂ
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience in Leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and as a Human Resources Business Partner engaging at the leadership levelÂ
- Track record of successful execution of cross-functional change management initiativesÂ
- Capability to design, manage, and deliver learning and development programs that drive business impactÂ
- Prior experience in a fast-growing, global environmentÂ
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment lawsÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to coach, influence, and partner with diverse client groups while establishing credibility and trustÂ
- Excellent analytical skills; successfully use data to extract insights and inform decision-makingÂ
- Experience with driving and championing inclusion and diversity initiativesÂ
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policiesÂ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsÂ
