Here are some ways you’ll make an impact!
- Partner with leaders and managers to build and implement people-related strategies that are tailored to the Product, Design and organizations' specific needs
- Provide day to day performance management counsel to leaders and managers, including career development conversations, conflict resolution and performance improvement action plans
- Drive informed decision making by using data to identify trends and perform root cause analysis, working with leaders to develop organizational effectiveness solutions
- Support annual review process including competency-based performance calibrations, org planning, individual development plans, and compensation alignment
- Collaborate with People Operations to iterate on HR programs that support strategic objectives and drive employee engagement & retention within your functional group(s) and for the organization as a whole
- Provide feedback and thought partnership to People Ops & Recruiting related to new hire onboarding experiences, turnover insights and hiring strategies
- Respond to any workplace complaints and conduct investigations in a highly responsible and integral manner
- Advocate for your functional teams and represent their needs to the People Operations team and senior leadership
- Establish a deep understanding of our values and mission and help to advise the evolution of our culture for a “virtual-first,” dispersed workforce
Are you our Lead HR Business Partner?
- Bachelor’s Degree, or related equivalent experience; PHR/SPHR/SHRM Certification is a plus
- 8+ years of dynamic HR experience with at least 5 years as an HR Business Partner; experience working with technical/product teams and leaders is preferred
- Deep understanding of HR strategies & programs, including but not limited to: performance management, organizational design, talent development, executive coaching & managerial effectiveness, employee engagement, diversity, equity, & inclusion (DEI)
- Proven success operating in an iterative, scaling organization where programs and processes are not always defined and solutions are not always obvious
- Ability to drive organizational and behavioral changes through thought leadership, relationship building, and strategic acumen
- Known to be a trusted, confident and level-headed advisor who can navigate difficult people situations with sound judgment, provide actionable coaching/feedback, and foster a culture of accountabilityÂ
- Very personable and professional, able to build and maintain rapport across all levels of the organization in a virtual-first environment
- Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and statutes

We are a virtual-first company and have employees dispersed throughout the United States and Canada. We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program and may be offered an equity award, benefits, and other types of compensation.
This role is eligible for hire in the San Francisco Bay Area (US), Vancouver (Canada), and Toronto (Canada).
In accordance with California law, the base salary for this role if filled within California is $168,000 - $228,000.
