HR Communications Intern - Summer 2023

We're seeking an enthusiastic student to work as a member of our HR Communications team this summer. While learning the ropes of employee communications, you'll also assist with various HR administrative projects and tasks.

This is a hands-on role at our global headquarters in Kenosha, WI (near Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL) where you'll go beyond simply shadowing the job. You'll be a doer. In the process, you'll gain real-world work experience and first-hand insight into all that goes into keeping our employees informed, engaged, and feeling supported.

During your time with us, we'd expect you to get involved in a range of duties. Examples include:

• Helping research, draft and publish internal news stories about Jockey, our employees, and our culture to our company intranet and other communications channels
• Compiling and maintaining content for both our company's intranet and digital signage
• Providing communications support for various change management initiatives
• Researching and bringing forward new strategies and tools for engaging employees and reinforcing company culture
• Proofreading and editing various internal communications for spelling, grammar, and style
• Assisting with various HR tasks, including answering the HR Helpline, creating reports, documenting processes, maintaining databases, filing and more.

Requirements

• Current undergrad pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism and/or Human Resources
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
• Working knowledge of O365 (Word, Sharepoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other standard office programs and equipment
• Ability to remain flexible and exhibit a "can-do" and positive attitude
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and a sharpened attention to detail
• Availability to work onsite in our Kenosha office between 20-30 per week.
