Job Description:

Description: The HR Communications Manager under the supervision of the VP of Human Resources, serves as the coordinator for all communications requests, working closely with customers to manage projects from definition through completion. This position manages the development of communications materials and works closely with the Communications team to produce materials that will meet the communications objectives. The HR Communications Manager is the main point of contact for the department's primary internal clients and is responsible for creating and managing the project calendar, assigning requests, coordinating deadlines, and providing problem resolution, while delivering outstanding customer service.

Typical Duties:

  1. Recommends and develops communication procedures for Human Resources.
  2. Manages the development of communications materials and works with the Communications team to produce materials that will meet the communications objectives.
  3. Serves as the traffic coordinator and prioritizes requests to include working closely with customers to manage projects from definition through completion.
  4. Develops and maintains HR calendar of events requiring communications support.
  5. Manages and tracks communication service requests and projects, develops and implements strategies with VP Human Resources and other HR leaders to meet communication goals.
  6. Manages the Human Resources intranet page. Collaborates with HR leaders and the Communications team to ensure the page is always current.
  7. Collaborates with HR leaders on communication needs to gain a clear and in-depth understanding of requests.
  8. Writes, edits, and creates internal and external communications in various media on all platforms.
  9. Provides input on project requests to ensure adherence to JPS Communications standards.
  10. Makes recommendations for content enhancement as appropriate and/or necessary.
  11. Writes media materials including media pitches, key messages, and social media posts.
  12. Coordinates information gathering and writing for publications, such as newsletters, emails, online content, announcements, and events.
  13. Works with team members to coordinate internal and external communications projects and promotional campaigns, etc.
  14. Drives JPS brand awareness and engagement to attract and retain talent.
  15. Develops impactful campaigns by sharing success stories displaying JPS's commitment to employee engagement.
  16. Utilizes data analytics to successfully execute campaigns, find research answers, test new marketing strategies, and react in real-time to take advantage of attractive opportunities.
  17. Utilizes social media tools for marketing services, building communities, joining social conversations, and developing marketing plans for HR.
  18. Collaborates with department communicators, employee engagement teams, and other operational teams to produce engaging and informative content for employees.
  19. Assists HR leaders in creating production timelines and keeps the team informed of progress.
  20. Advises HR leaders on efficiencies, cost savings, and/or project trends as needed.
  21. Assists during critical and/or emergency code activations and media situations.
  22. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

    Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Design, or Project Management from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 plus years' experience designing digital media to include content updates and managing projects. 6 plus months of advanced knowledge of and experience using Adobe Creative Suite or Cloud (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 1 plus years' work experience in a healthcare or government setting.
