General Summary of Position:

Granite Telecommunications is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Human Resources team as an HR Coordinator. The HR Coordinator will directly support the Chief People Officer and plays a key role in supporting HR functions, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes, and contributing to the overall success of the company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow their career in HR/people operations!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Chief People Officer including drafting/sending correspondence, scheduling, prepping for meetings, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining calendars
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations
  • Organize and maintain people personnel records within our database
  • Communicate and enforce HR policies and procedures
  • Answer employees' questions/inquiries about HR-related issues and assist in conflict resolution matters
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws
  • Work with the cross functional HR department groups including payroll/benefits, recruiting, and learning/development
  • Perform other duties/ ad hoc requests as deemed necessary

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) and related software
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to keep company confidentiality
  • Ability to work as a team with other Administrative professionals

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field

  • Experience with HR related software
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR administration or related role
