Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring an HR Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting the Kansas City Site in alignment with the site HR team. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for Workday data entry relating to new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and leave of absence processing; employee file creation and maintenance within standards of compliance; assisting with new hire processing, onboarding, and offboarding; supporting and participating in site employee events and communications as appropriate; and generally providing consistent customer focus in all activities and duties on an on-going basis.

This is a full-time role position: Monday - Friday, days.

Catalent's Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects.

The Role

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for Workday (HRIS) and Workforce Dimensions (timekeeping)
  • Processes new hire, transfer, promotion, leave of absence, and termination paperwork/records with absolute accuracy
  • Coordinates and leads portions of new hire orientation and onboarding, including new hire I-9 compliance and maintenance of site I-9 records; conducts exit interviews
  • Assists employees and leaders with routine compensation, benefit, and policy-related questions
  • Performs data entry and generates reports from Workday, Workforce Dimensions, and other systems as needed, ensuring consistent accuracy. Periodically audits Workday and Workforce dimensions data to maintain data integrity
  • Coordinates, assists with, and participates in employee activities, committees, and related communication
  • Prepares and maintains personnel files ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and standards
  • Assists with administration of leave of absence and related pay continuation policies e.g. FMLA, jury duty, funeral/military leave, short term/long term disability, etc., and ensures compliance with related record keeping requirements and applicable state and federal laws
  • Operates with a customer-service mindset and performs HR-related tasks with the utmost confidentiality
  • All other duties as assigned

The Candidate

  • High School degree required; Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or closely related field strongly preferred. 1+ years of related work
  • Strong customer service focus with a high degree of maintaining confidentiality
  • Robust computer skills - including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and HR-related software, plus the ability to quickly learn new systems/programs
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and orally, to audiences of English-speaking employees and front-line leaders
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to organize/prioritize tasks, including efficient multi-tasking
  • Capability of working in a fast-paced environment while applying sound mathematical and reasoning skills
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
