Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Chromalloy Connecticut HR Coordinator is an operational, hands-on role that provides full life cycle Human Resources support to the CCT facility. The individual in this role is responsible for providing HR support to employees and first line leaders in the areas of Payroll, Recruiting/Hiring, Benefits, Employee Relations, Engagement, Training, and Policy Compliance. This role reports to the Sr. HR Generalist in CCT.

Accountabilities

  • Advertises job openings on company’s careers page, social media, job boards and internally
  • Screens incoming resumes and application forms. Interviews candidates (via phone, video and in-person)
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Ensures new hire understanding of the corporation’s benefit plans, Company policies and Company procedures
  • Participates in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events
  • Collaborates with managers to schedule interview and follow up
  • Supports payroll processing and transmitting in ADP and e-time in partnership with the Corporate Shared Services; Ensures on time payroll processing. Payroll review and approval
  • Sets up and processes all new hire paperwork, to include entering applicant and new hire information into the HR Information System (HRIS) and completing E-Verify and other pre-employment requirements
  • Completes employee change notices and enter data into the appropriate system. (e.g., change of address, departmental transfers, rate increases, promotions, terminations, etc.)
  • Assists in maintaining and distributing current employee information, policy and procedure manuals, and other communication
  • Manages AAP reporting
  • Supports Employee Relations
  • Assists management on Compliance issues, Employee Training, Discipline, Terminations and I-9 document control

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years providing HR administrative, HR systems, HR recruiting, and payroll support is required.
  • HRIS Systems knowledge is required (ADP / EV5 / SAP / Oracle / Other).
  • Payroll experience is required
  • Excel proficiency required
  • Manufacturing Experience is preferred
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices including labor law compliance, EEO, AA, and benefits programs is required.
