About the role:  This is a newly added HR Data Analyst is a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL. The position will focus on compiling, analyzing, and preparing employee job data, market information, preparing reports, making recommendations, making presentations, dashboards, and interpreting data to effectively convey a story.
- Tracking and using metrics throughout the employee life cycle is essential to conveying specific HR messages as well as elevating our HR partnerships with GH business leaders is essential. The addition of this new role affords GH an opportunity to service our leaders and employees with excellence.
- A successful analyst enjoys running reports and analyzing/interpreting data w/ proven MS Office knowledge, excellent analytical skills, statistical skills, the ability to effectively translate metric data into a professional executive-level presentation with a clear narrative while understanding the business and a working knowledge of HRIS platforms.
- This role will directly report to the VP of People and Culture and work closely with the VP of People and Culture, DEI& HRBP and the CPO on specific initiatives.
About the team:Â The HR department is comprised of professionals dedicated to supporting the business throughout the entire employee life cycle. This is a new role that will partner closely with other HR Business Partner colleagues regularly and other team members of the HR team including but not limited to L&OD, Talent, and HRIS.
What you’ll do:
- Create, run, modify, and improve standard and on-demand ad hoc reports daily/weekly and /or monthly.
- Extract, merge, cleanse, and transform large data sets using a variety of reporting tools. Create dashboards, general and executive-level presentations, and effective reports as assigned.
- Meet with service receivers to gather information and determine required reporting based on user's needs. Serve as a subject matter expert for reporting tools.
- Takes ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality reports on time while building trust with business areas and ask probing questions to uncover unknown requirements.
- Partner closely with DEI & HR Business Partner and other HR colleagues to develop and implement reporting strategies and dashboards for client meetings and track and measure the success of engagement/DEI initiatives.
- Work on project and initiatives as assigned.
- Collaborate with the CPO to create executive board meeting presentation slides monthly.
 What we’re looking for:
- 3-5 years of experience utilizing report writing software, building and running general to complex queries, with the ability to maintain, modify and improve technical reports for accuracy.
- Minimum of a B.S., Management Information Systems or comparable degree or work experience.
- Preferred experience with Monday.com, UKG and Tableau.
- Deep understanding of data sources, data extraction methods, how to use and apply data to business decisions, and what data is needed and means for business outcomes and decisions.
- Unwavering commitment to data governance: protection of sensitive and confidential data and data accuracy.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, complex problem-solving ability, and ability to use critical thinking and creativity in query building.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, excellent project management skills, and the ability to multi-task with a variety of stakeholders. Relentless attention to detail, strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable working through ambiguous situations to define precise requirements and priorities and drive actionable outcomes.
- Strong ability to prioritize across multiple initiatives with competing priorities.
- Excellent teammate with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Location: Hybrid, Chicago IL (3 days Onsite)
