Summary:

As a Benefits Admin/HR Gen, you will be responsible for oversight of our benefits, policy creation, headcount data and HRIS (Rippling). This position is best for someone who loves empowering and enabling employees by providing top tier benefits administration, enjoys leveraging technology to enable HR processes and most of all enjoys building sustainable HR processes for a fast growth startup.

You’ll join a small, transparent team of dedicated HR professionals and report directly to the VP of People Ops.

This is a full time position based in our Boston, MA office and requires a mostly on-site presence, with a hybrid schedule as needed. 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a welcoming point of contact for our employees to see the benefit of our benefits! (and answer questions as they arise)
  • Build and administer a people-first employee change process in partnership with teammates and managers
  • Strategic oversight of benefits and benefits programs, including benefits utilization data, market analysis and auditing.
  • Automate reporting to keep our business informed and enlightened on employee trends, while partnering with HR leadership to story tell using clean data
  • Facilitate training programs, contribute to security compliance and lead workplace safety initiatives (including record keeping and auditing)
  • Partner with Finance on payroll needs, variable pay programs and compensation analysis. Partner with managers on compensation philosophy and application to market and career pathing.
  • Ensure impeccable employee recordkeeping, inline with federal and state guidelines. Review and audit insurance records for accuracy and completeness.
  • As part of the Paperless Parts team, further, the company-wide DEI & social impact initiatives 
  • Travel to customers as needed, COVID-19 vaccination and booster required

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Admin in a growing technology company
  • Comfort with Excel (well, Google Sheets), analyzing data and presenting data to non-HR teams
  • Experience with Rippling or a modern HRIS, including payroll processing modules
  • Experience with Leave policies, Worker’s Compensation and unemployment claims
  • Experience supporting Talent Acquisition with background checks and onboarding, and supporting HR team with offboarding 
  • Attention to detail - you can spot all the typo’s in this job description
  • PHR or SPHR is preferred but not required

The office is walking distance from Downtown Encinitas, the Coaster train stop, and tons of restaurants, bars, and activities on the 101.
