HR Investigations Partner
Job Description
About the Role: We are looking for an HR Investigations Partner to join our team. The HR Investigations Partner will conduct investigations into employee relations concerns and employment law matters and support positive engagement in the workforce. This person will provide employee relations expertise and guidance to leaders and HR and make recommendations to resolve employee relations concerns. This position is both hands-on and strategic, with approximately 75% of the work involving active investigations work.
This position will be located at our facility in either Flagstaff, Arizona, or Phoenix, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid-remote work arrangement (from AZ), depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate HR-related employee concerns and employment law matters, as needed
- Identify and partner with critical stakeholders (employment law team, compliance team, HR Business Partners and leaders) while conducting investigations
- Use effective investigation techniques and tools to complete objective, unbiased investigations and drive positive outcomes. Document investigation notes and findings using case management tool.
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and leaders to provide status updates on pending investigations and to provide recommendations for resolution. Partner closely with HR Business Partners and leaders to ensure prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns and to influence desired outcomes (additional training, disciplinary action, policy updates)
- Develop effective relationship with leaders and business-facing HR team to promote positive employee engagement
- Present investigation summaries and recommendations to Gore Medical's Investigation Oversight Committee, as needed
- Collaborate with HR team to update and create HR policies and procedures that drive positive employee relation outcomes, as they relate to employee concerns and investigations
- Conduct trainings related to compliance requirements, policies and procedures to HR Business Partners and leaders
- Analyze investigation and employee relation trends and make recommendations for proactive strategies, solutions and policies
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years' experience with workplace investigations including HR functional expertise in a Generalist or Specialist role
- Demonstrated experience with using investigation tool(s) and case management tool(s)
- Demonstrated experience with group facilitation
- Experience with change management, team and individual performance management and associate development processes
- Excellent influencing, coaching and mentoring skills
- Ability to diagnose associate relations needs to root cause, draw conclusions, and influence leaders and HR to take proposed action
- Ability to communicate directly and effectively with associates to resolve challenges, regardless of their role or difference of opinion; conflict resolution
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and a track record of delivering outstanding results in new and challenging situations
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences or HR
- Investigations Training or Certification(s)
- PHR or SPHR
