HR Manager

Pearl Abyss, the leading videogames developer and publisher behind the highly acclaimed Black Desert franchise and upcoming titles such as Crimson Desert and DokeV is seeking a driven and organized Human Resources (HR) Manager for its European Publishing Office.

As HR Manager you will be the first point of contact regarding all HR matters and oversee a wide variety of HR tasks, from recruitment to payroll support. You will report directly to the Head of Office. 

You will join a dedicated team working across multiple communities, platforms, and games such as Black Desert, and upcoming releases such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and PLAN 8! 

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related inquiries and issues
• Oversee recruitment process for all open positions, including administration and applicant tracking
• Preboarding and Onboarding new hires
• Manage employee evaluations and performance reviews
• Health and Safety (Arbo) administration and sick leave management
• Monitor and enforce HR policies, ensuring compliance and best practices
• Administer employee working hours and holiday leave registration
• Payroll support
• Other duties may be assigned according to ad hoc needs

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills in English and Korean
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong people skills and ability to work discretely with confidential information
• Organized and detail-oriented personality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of Dutch Labor Law and Arbo legislation
• Experience with and/or knowledge of Dutch visa requirements
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• Fluency in Dutch
• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in HR and/or office management
• Experience or affinity with the gaming industry
• Experience with Workable
