About the job:

The HR Manager, US, will be responsible for owning and streamlining HR processes and systems for up to 45 employees this year and up to 70 employees in the next year, without direct reports. This role focused on maintaining employee relations, development pathways, and a 2-way feedback loop between the leadership and team members. The HR Manager will work closely with managers and will have ownership over people ops systems like Lattice.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with specialized consultants to train and develop managers, ensuring they are effective leaders.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones with team members for performance assessment and constant feedback collection.
• Oversee and maintain an employee review system, including annual appraisals and ad-hoc performance reviews.
• Collaborate with managers to develop career paths for employees.
• Manage and review compensation structures, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
• Own the new employee onboarding process, from policy explanation to stock options to team introductions.
• Manage processes for offers, promotions, and separations, ensuring seamless transitions and compliance.
• Ensure that HR policies are communicated and followed, handling any discrepancies or issues as they arise.
• Represent the company during interviews, sell the company culture, and monitor for red flags.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a startup environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using HR management software like Lattice or equivalent.
• High level of emotional intelligence (EQ).
• Strong cultural awareness and the ability to work with diverse teams.
