YOUR ROLE

Reporting to our Managing Director of People and working closely with our Managing Director of Learning, the HR Manager, People Partner will be actively involved in driving employee engagement and optimizing our Crossmedian’s employee experience.  We are a small and nimble People team and this role offers the opportunity to have direct, hands-on involvement with many facets of the People function. This role is located in our New York office and is a hybrid role with flexibility to work in-office and from home (2 days in office per week on average).

Specific tasks and responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of Crossmedia’s People Team initiatives, including (but not limited to) performance management, talent mapping/career mobility conversations, learning & development initiatives, and employee engagement initiatives (eg, summer houses).
  • Be an active, visible and available resource to all Crossmedians. You’ll become to “go-to” resource for Crossmedia policies and processes, answering the first questions and directing our people to specialist resources as relevant. (eg, benefits).
  • You’ll be the “first phone call” for our junior to mid-level people, working to help them navigate their career at Crossmedia. You’ll coach them on their performance, development, career pathing and relationship building.  And you’ll help them learn how to problem solve.
  • Partner with People Team leadership and Client/department leads to understand current and future staffing needs. In partnership with People Team leadership, identify where we have internal resources for a role (career mobility) vs where we need to hire.
  • Infuse and drive equitable practices into Crossmedia’s culture, values and engagement initiatives, fostering an environment of inclusion and support.
  • Coordinating the onboarding process, including pre-boarding communications, manager communications, new hire orientation, and check-ins
  • Coordinating the offboarding process for any departing employees, including exit interviews
  • Owns or assists with employee communications for all People related projects (holidays, processes, learning programs, etc), as required. This can be to small groups (by client, by level, by function) or agency wide.
  • Data analysis: Leverage data from our payroll (UKG) and HRIS systems (HiBob) to analyze report on trends and metrics around things like retention, turnover, performance, salary, etc.  Must be comfortable working with detailed and confidential employee data. Strong EXCEL Skills required.
  • Learning & Development: help represent the voice/needs of our employees in the development/deployment of learning programs; lead the execution/tracking of our compliance training program.
  • Employee Listening: assist/lead survey deployment and analysis.  This includes things like on-going surveys to new hires as well as (potentially) any larger scale listening initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with People Team leadership and/or legal as needed/required.
  • Participate as an active member of the People community, cultivating relationships across the People team and supporting other People Team initiatives and projects as require

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 5 years prior HR, People Team or Talent Team experience, ideally in more of a generalist or business partner role.
  • SHRM, PHR or other HR certification is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfort building independent relationships across the company.
  • Positive demeanor and champion for agency and our culture
  • Experience coaching employees and supporting people
  • Highly self-motivated, with a bias towards action (this is a hands-on, doer role – not necessarily a strategist role)
  • Excellent analytical skills; data driven and detail oriented
  • Appreciation for process, policy and procedure
  • Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Office 365 tools (strong Excel skills required)
  • Prior experience with payroll platforms (specifically UKG) and HRIS systems (specifically HiBob) a major plus

Location:  Requires proximity to our NYC office. We offer a hybrid work setting with employees working both in-office and from home. 

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 range. Compensation is determined on the skills, qualifications, certifications, tenure in the industry and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
