The Role:
As the standalone HR Manager for the US regional offices, your aim will be to maintain a culture of positive employee relations where all managers and employees are engaged in the success of the business. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all HR operations, policies, processes, and federal, state, and local regulations are adhered to consistently. In addition to this, you will work closely with senior leadership to deliver effective people strategies that drive business results.
You will partner closely with other members of the HR Leadership team as well as Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand. Cross regional collaboration should come naturally to you and will be paramount to your success in delivering on several HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.Â

WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO DO:
- Establishing strong relationships with stakeholders, identifying opportunities to add value to the Employee Experience and to strengthen the relationship between HR and your Client Group
- Develop HR policies, procedures and processes ensuring legislative and regulatory requirements in the US region are strictly adhered to
- Work with London Headquarters to ensure Global consistency across HR policies, procedures, initiatives and processes, as well as employee experience
- Take a hands on role ensuring HR processes are administered for new hires including: induction/on-boarding process, contract checking, employee benefits, role clarity and regulatory requirement checks in line with our current PEO provision
- Administer payroll, compensation and benefits with 100% accuracyÂ
- Manage the mid-year and year-end performance review process for the region
- Actively manage retention within the firm and investigate attrition trends
- Be a key driver for innovative change to our Wellness, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Learning and Development programmes in the region
- Manage talent and succession planning
- Own Maven’s immigration and relocation process
- Any other HR tasks as instructed by the Group Chief People Officer
WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO NEED:
The role touches on a number of regulatory and legislative frameworks, which will preclude potential candidates without prior experience:Â
- At least 5 years in a Human Resource Management role within a similar organisation
- Undergraduate Degree, HR related qualification or equivalent
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others
- Ability to effectively manage multiple, changing priorities and work at pace
- Experience of HR analytics would be desirableÂ
- Experience working across USA markets and knowledge of Chicago and New York state, and local regulations is desirable
- Motivating and inspiring management style, who does not overlook the details
- Professional, confident and pragmatic attitude
