Summary:
The HR Manager will be responsible for supporting employees in DFIN's front office lines of businesses (Sales, Marketing, and Software Services) in all areas of Human Resources such as staffing, compensation, benefits, training & development, employee relations, and employment law compliance. This is a remote, work-from-home position with preference given to candidates in the Tri-State area for ad hoc meetings and events.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
  • Responsible for proactive employee relations, communication support, and internal management consultation in all aspects of Human Resources.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic HR initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of corporate orientation programs. Expertise in Employee Experience and/or virtual onboarding a plus.
  • Develop and manage to meaningful metrics that accurately assess the effectiveness of the workforce.
  • First point of contact for guidance to employees ensuring consistent adherence to HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Benefits, Talent, Compensation, Payroll) to field employee questions and resolve issues.
  • Conduct investigations on employee complaints, including but not limited to, harassment, discrimination and violation of company policies.
  • Manage workflows for employee data changes and ensure accurate records in the HRIS system.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in discipline related to functional work with 4 -7 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • Experience in a Sales business preferred
  • Able to apply depth of HR expertise and managerial judgement in analyzing complex problems and developing creative solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact at all levels of the organization, from non-exempt employees to executives.
  • Able to operate independently, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently
  • Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong conflict resolution and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of the Employee Experience function and/or virtual onboarding a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Sharepoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Prior exposure to HRIS systems (SuccessFactors a plus)
  • Extensive knowledge of general employment laws, EEO/AAP and policy development
