The core focus of this role is to provide support to operational HR processes across the employee lifecycle including HR administration, HR system maintenance, creating reports and analytics, and first line advisory support to the People Team, People Leaders and individuals across Iress in Australia, Singapore and New Zealand. The role plays an integral part in the delivery of an efficient and customer focused people support service. 

A typical day is managing people queries via Jira Service Desk, providing a people centric approach and a high level of customer service at all touchpoints via Jira, Slack, email or verbal. You will be processing people change across the full employee lifecycle via Workday, maintaining a high level of data accuracy at all times. As data accuracy, reliability and high quality output are core outcomes of this role, we are looking for someone who is a meticulous and highly organised individual to provide administrative support. 

We are looking for someone who is keen to be visible, and happy to work with people in an office environment. You will be required to attend the office at least three days a week, the People team are typically in the office on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

  • Ensure that all people data, correspondence and HR files are up to date at all points across the employee lifecycle (eg. new starters, parental leave, people movements and offboarding). This will involve the monitoring and processing of changes in Workday (our People system), producing relevant paperwork, informing other stakeholders of any changes where required, accurate payroll input and carrying out regular data audits.

  • Support the employee onboarding processes including running local inductions. 

  • Providing guidance and support to the wider team, and business on operational processes including how to use Workday. 

  • Troubleshooting within Workday when issues are raised. 

  • Producing operational reporting and analytics from Workday for the people team, key stakeholders and external vendors. 

  • Drive the adoption and full utilisation of Workday across Iress by promoting self-service and best practices wherever possible.

  • Support the People Service Design and Business Partnering teams to embed new people processes and policies to our ways of working, and with the wider business.
     

What you will bring:

  • Previous experience within an HR administrator role in a small-medium sized organisation where you have been exposed to working with a range of stakeholders. 

  • Previous experience of using Workday from a HR perspective is essential. 

  • A solution focused mindset with an eagerness to knowledge share and continually seek efficient and effective ways of working. 

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is vital for this role. 

  • A resilient and agile approach to working. Things can change quickly here and we need someone who is able to adapt to changing priorities. 

  • The ability to self organise and prioritise effectively is essential for this role as you will often have multiple tasks to balance. 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of people.
