Job Description

Role Purpose:

  • The role will be responsible for the effective management of US/Canada HR Operations, leading continuous improvement and development of the processes in the operation.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and alignment (where possible) for the US/Canada HR processes across the embedded and non-embedded employee populations, ensuring pro-active and commercial HR response is delivered to all employees on HR and employment matters to support the Agile & Lean strategic pillar.
  • Alongside LatAm HR, the US/Canada HR Operations Manager will contribute to global HR operations projects and processes and ensuring successful regional implementation. This role will also be part of a larger HR Operations community of practice within the global HR team, bringing operational best practices and innovation from other areas to the US/Canada embedded and non-embedded businesses.
  • The US/Canada HR Operations Manager will provide heavy process support to our Embedded Consulting Services (ECS) business, which requires a rapid response to client needs in building up and providing ongoing support of teams of employees working directly with our clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with internal clients and the Americas HR team to ensure the delivery of a high quality and legally compliant HR service
  • Work closely with the regional HR team and team members in other functions that support the business to ensure everyone is fully informed of HR policies, procedures and practices to ensure alignment, consistency, company culture and legal compliance
  • Lead project management of supplier RFP's: e.g. pre-employment services, payroll, benefits consultancy, legal services, etc
  • Work with Group and regional HR colleagues to lead project management on ad hoc HR initiatives, such as system implementation, contract, and policy reviews, etc.
  • Project manage mass-scale people processes in line with periods of peak activity, including the annual performance management and salary review cycles
  • Provide inspirational and supportive leadership to the HR Coordinator for embedded employees
  • Create simple and informative resource guides to support answering general questions from embedded and non-embedded employees
  • Partner with Embedded Consulting Services leadership as well as Technology, Compliance, and Talent Development to build out employee resources and people processes that are easily accessible and enhance the embedded employee experience
  • In conjunction with other business support functions, document and refine the HR accountabilities for the Joiners/Movers/Leavers regional processes for both embedded and non-embedded employees
  • Together with the HR Director, responsible for production of Regional HR reports, data and insight delivered to the business on a number of metrics such as attrition, headcount analysis, position management and DE&I

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in HR Operations and leading continuous improvement of process execution
  • Team leadership experience
  • 5 years' HR project management experience across the full spectrum of HR Operations
  • Experience in international markets and experience of working with cultural differences impacting on employment practices
  • Strong data analysis and reporting experience
  • Experience working at companies with established HR processes and working at companies that required development of HR processes

Qualifications and Specialist Skills:

  • Good client management skills and proven ability to engage with people at all levels of the organization, building strong working relationships with business leaders
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of credibility, integrity, judgment, resilience and flexibility - consistently providing quality counsel and insight
  • Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across different functions and levels of seniority
  • Ability to present data with visual impact and draw meaningful insights that support the growth of the business
  • Excellent communication skills - active listening, written and oral (informal and presentation)
  • Systems literacy - MS office packages, HRIS and Recruitment systems
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential, Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
