As our HR & Payroll Specialist, you will have the opportunity to be a part of Engrain's growth and dynamic environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative, and hands-on specialist to grow and build a scalable payroll function. As part of our HR team, you will be responsible for developing the overall strategic vision for our payroll function and leading the day-to-day operations, including overseeing payroll operations and compliance. You will develop strong cross-functional relationships with our HR, Accounting, Finance, and Leadership teams. Reporting to the VP of HR, you will also play a key role in other HR-related projects, administrative duties, and initiatives.
What you'll do...

• Maintains HRIS data entry of all personnel changes and reports. Responsible for the accurate entry and ongoing maintenance of employee data within Paylocity and related payroll and benefits systems
• Responsible for overseeing accurate and timely payroll administration, including processing related compensation expenses such as garnishments, taxes, and other deductions/earnings
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local payroll, wage & hour laws and best practices
• Assist employees with questions and information related to paychecks, timecards, earnings, deductions, overtime, leave requests, HRIS and benefits systems
• Monitors and administers employee leave, including PTO, sick time, unpaid leaves, etc.
• Respond promptly to unemployment claims and employment verifications
• Maintains and updates HR records, forms, and policies per federal and state regulations as needed
• Supports audits by providing records and documentation as requested
• Oversees year-end reporting, including W-2 and ACA Reporting
• Assists in the creation and implementation of documenting HR/payroll policies and procedures as needed
• Collaborate with key partners throughout the organization to ensure accurate recording of all payroll input
• Maintain and create documentation for payroll processes and procedures
• Participate and contribute to other HR-related projects and initiatives as needed

Requirements
What you offer us...

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• CPP certification preferred but not required
• 3-5+ years relevant work experience in the areas of HR, payroll, and/or benefits administration
• 3+ years of payroll processing and administration experience required
• Experience with multi-state payrolls larger than 200 employees
• Experience working with Paylocity's HR and payroll modules is strongly preferred

• Salary Disclosure for Colorado: minimum base salary of $60,000 - $70,000. Final offer amount is determined by factors including years and depth of candidate's experience, certifications, and skill set alignment to the job requirements
