We have a contract PMO Manager opportunity in our Human Resource group reporting to our Chief People Officer.
Job Purpose:
The HR PMO Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of HR projects within the organization. The individual will manage the project management office (PMO) for HR, ensuring that all HR projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The HR PMO Manager will work closely with senior HR leaders, HR teams, and other stakeholders to drive project success and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the HR project portfolio and prioritize projects based on business needs and priorities.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans for HR projects.
- Provide project management guidance and support to HR teams, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and standards.
- Monitor project progress and take corrective action when necessary to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage project risks and issues, escalating to HR Leaders as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain project management tools and templates for HR projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including HR teams, business leaders, and vendors.
- Facilitate project meetings, including project kickoffs, status updates, and project reviews.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of HR project metrics to monitor project success and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop a prioritization and resourcing process by which decision can be made on timing of launch or implementation of projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile is desirable.
- At least 5 years of project management experience.
- Ideally, strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in developing and maintaining project management tools and templates.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
