HR Project Manager

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

This role will be part of nVent's PMO team, reporting directly to the HR PMO Leader. The HR PMO team is responsible for providing governance, structure and oversight on projects that support nVent's HR initiatives and strategy. The Project Manager will be closely aligned to a HR functional area(s) and will be deployed to lead various projects within that area or serve as the HR representative on cross-functional projects.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL GET TO:

• Partner with the broader HR teams to manage & maintain a project funnel. Including participation in team meetings to understand additional priorities & resource availability.
• Act as the Project Manager on various projects in support of nVent's overall strategy & HR initiatives.
  • Develop project scope & objectives in partnership with program owners, technical experts & key stakeholders.
  • Maintain the overall project plan and ensure that the schedule, budgets & overall project goals are met.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for anything related to the projects organization & timeline.
  • Coordinate with Global HR teams, subject matter experts, vendors & stakeholders for the execution of projects.
  • Coordinate across functions outside of HR that have a role on the project team, such as Finance and/or IT.
  • Provide project status updates, including presentations to senior leadership teams and issue escalation to stakeholders.
• Serve as the HR resource on cross-functional projects by coordinating with the local HR teams and COEs to understand impact of change and assist with coordination of updates to processes.

YOU HAVE:

• Academic background in Human Resources, Business or related field and/or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant functional (HR) experience including 3+ years leading projects preferred
• Ability to partner effectively and influence senior leader decisions
• Ability and comfort preparing and presenting executive briefings
• Strong project management skills
• Expertise with change management methodologies
• Excellent excel and power points skills. Experience with project management tools preferred.
• Strong understanding of overall HR systems & processes preferred
