HR Projects Specialist
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Management and Pipeline Development
- Actively supports projects in the annual talent management cycle, including items like early career hiring, interns, talent and succession.
- Employee Experience
- Supports Max Service Center with cataloguing knowledge management articles to deliver a positive employee experience
- Project Development and Strategic Planning
- Monitors and assists in managing the portfolio of HR projects from initiation to completion. Assists in the development of project management resources for project leaders
- Works closely with the COEs, HRIS leader and project leads and consults on potential schedule changes, cost adjustments and resource additions
- Monitors dependencies across multiple inter-related HR projects and notifies project leads/HR Leadership as needed
- Provides status updates to the HR Leadership team regarding projects within the portfolio and suggestions on any changes to timelines, resources, or costs
- Works with Internal Communications team to ensure a cohesive approach to the strategic communication plan across HR portfolio of projects.
- Research assignments to assist in strategic planning - including PESTELE
- Budgeting
- Supports team in ensuring the fiscal requirements of their projects are well forecasted and supports the monthly budget submission schedule.
- Provides on-going support for entire HR budget including tracking and auditing expenses, updating forecasts and assisting with the monthly close process under the guidance of a senior team leader. Supports annual budget planning process.
- Other duties as assigned related to talent management, learning and development and employee success.

- Deliver deadline driven results achieving on time completion per the roadmap and fiscal calendar
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Feedback from key stakeholders on inputs and outcomes
Competencies and Behaviors
- In addition to the four core ATI competencies the individual must have the technical capability to function in an HR organisation with:
- Strong project management and organization skills
- Affinity for process and maintaining process discipline
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience using project management software and/or ability to create/refine project management tools
- Demonstrated experience adapting to and supporting a significant amount of change
- Self-starter and assertive
Qualifications
- Preferred - Bachelor's degree in HR, Management, Business, Finance or related field.
- Essential - Associates degree with some practical business experience
- Desired - Project management certification or inclined to work towards
- A high acuity for numbers
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a business environment preferably in HR or Finance gained through internships, coops, or direct employment.
- Demonstrated ability to organize projects and people.
Scope Factors
- Tracking an annual suite of projects up to approximately 20 per year.
- Duration of projects generally range from multiple months up to one year
- Portfolio of projects spans global HR function, with main interfaces being the United States
Travel or Physical Demands
- Travel: Generally limited but during intern season could amount to up to 20%, or occasional other site visits.
