Job Summary

As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the I-9 employment eligibility verification process and I-9 document in compliance with federal regulations. To be successful in this role you will work closely with HR personnel, hiring managers, and employees to develop a smooth and efficient I-9 verification process while adhering to all legal requirements. You will also conduct an internal audit to review I-9 documentation. As a key member of a high performing team, your responsibilities will include administrative work such as record keeping, uploading documents, communicating with HR members and employees as of audit follow-up. Additionally, you will be involved in coordinating and executing HR projects aimed to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of HR processes and initiatives. You will also provide training and guidance when necessary.

What You'll Do:

• Review documents and keep records

• Analyze and improve current processes to ensure compliance with federal laws to have efficient and accurate date

• Identify discrepancies and any issues found during the compliance audit

• Follow up with audit results

• Suggest process improvements and solutions to resolve problems

• Assist and coordinate HR projects

• Provide training and guidelines to HR stakeholders

Desired Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of advanced and progressive skills in an HR capacity

• Strong understanding of I-9 verification process

• Experience auditing I-9 documentation

• Previous experience handling different types of cases
