We are looking to hire an experienced and driven Human Resources Specialist that will be responsible for HR matters across the Americas region. The HR Specialist is a hands-on role that will be working with management and employees across the US, Canada, and LATAM. The HR Specialist role is responsible for a broad range of HR functions including but not limited to employee relations, internal policies and processes, payroll, benefits, onboarding, employee issues, and various HR projects and initiatives. The HR Specialist role will be reporting to the Senior Director HR, based in the Burlington office (hybrid in-office and remote).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work with the Sr. HR Director to implement and drive the HR strategy for Americas
  • Assist with developing HR policies and procedures in compliance with local laws in alignment with Company standards
  • Input and maintain data and ensure accuracy of employee records and database in all HR systems
  • Manage all HR administration and processes including but not limited to, onboarding, termination/separation, immigration/relocation, employment changes, leaves of absence, payroll changes, benefits, training, and performance management
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters. 
  • Coach and counsel employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including but not limited to, facilitation of formal and informal complaints to resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolution as needed.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or conflicts and recommend appropriate actions
  • Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution
  • Oversees and administer all US benefits
  • Leads all required reporting and filing to meet all compliance deadlines
  • Point of contact for all US relocation and immigration cases. Partnering with immigration attorneys and global employees to evaluate current status and propose best options for relocation, visas and green cards
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR to continuously improve HR processes and services
  • Partner with our EOR for LATAM and Canada employees to serve as a liaison
  • Performs other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years experience in a similar HR role
  • Experience owning all HR matters, and supporting employees across multiple locations within the Americas region
  • University degree or equivalent work experience
  • Competent systems user, including HRIS and ATS platforms (Workday preferred), and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and experience with US employment and labor laws
  • Ability to stay focused, manage competing priorities, and multi-task a high volume of workload
  • Disiplined, detail oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Exceptional problem solving and organizational skills
  • Team-player, positive attitude, and eager to do more and help out
  • Passion and commitment to succeed by working hard and never giving up
  • Strong internal customer focus with a desire to learn all aspects of the business
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
