HR Specialist (June 2023 Start)
Job Description
As a HR Specialist, you will be on a two-year rotation which is designed to develop and prepare you as the next generation of Human Resource leaders within the logistics and transportation industry.
In this role, you will spend time in several different pillars of the human resources function to gain exposure and valuable development experiences within a global organization. You will start working in our HR Service Center followed by Talent Acquisition, and learn other areas such as Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, People Analytics, and Organizational Development. After the rotation, you will begin your journey in a specialized area of HR.

Responsibilities:
- Work within a broad variety of established procedures within the different pillars of Human Resources
- Provide General HR support to employees and managers by applying broad knowledge of concepts, analytical methods, processes, procedures, systems, and general understanding of department fundamentals
- Understand how each pillar of the Human Resources Team coordinates their efforts and resource to achieve objectives
- Participate in a variety of project and ad hoc requests from managers, business partners, and COEs
- Make suggestions and updates to process documentation as directed by functional process owner or their supervisor
- Work semi-independently and be responsible for own work under general supervision
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and high school diploma/GED
- Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduating between December 2022 and June 2023 and available to begin full time employment in June 2023
- Previous internship experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to handle sensitive matters with judgment, tact and diplomacy
- Strong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills, and business acumen
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Demonstrated ability to work with data, ensuring accuracy
- Experience with Workday
