Job Description

The Employee Experience HR Business Partner Manager supports region leaders and employees as the strategic HR partner, providing guidance and counsel on employee relations, community and employee engagement, business continuity planning, compliance assurance, talent/succession planning, leadership development, compensation, training, and advice on labor relations, as well as special local projects/solutions related to talent needs. This role serves as the HR Business Partner advisor to a group of region/market clients to drive and support their people strategy and business needs, and works in collaboration with local management, employees, the People Solutions HRBP community, COEs, and program/process owners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Maintain an employee pulse of the region and proactively identify and implement people solutions to drive positive employee engagement, employee experience, wellness and proactive labor and employee relations.
  • Ensure leadership has a strong education and awareness on proactive labor relations.
  • Provide guidance and participate with leadership in the development of Employee Experience and Engagement strategy, ensuring that delivered services support the company's vision, anticipated growth and business and operational objectives.
  • Serve as the HR Business Advisor to market leaders.
  • Understand business goals and advise leaders on proactive talent solutions and the implications of short and long-term decisions, strategies, and large-scale change efforts that will yield sustainable business results.
  • Consult with market leaders on talent, leadership, people strategy, organizational development, rewards, and culture.
  • Provide guidance and participate in the development of local people strategies for the market and region in terms of talent attraction, development, retention and organization culture, workforce planning, competitive positioning, and future direction.
  • Support the business to create an integrated people plan that aligns with the strategic plans of the organization.
  • Understand and identify leadership development needs and gaps to contribute to a strong talent roadmap and strategy.
  • Proactively champion and support region inclusion and diversity efforts with strong focus on areas of opportunity needed to support leaders and employees.
  • Create a proactive Affirmative Action planning strategy and education for the region to support the diversity council, ERGs, and inclusion areas of focus.
  • Partner with COEs and Functional HRBPs to develop and implement policies, programs, processes, and tools to enhance organizational capability, and provide timely feedback on effectiveness and value to the business.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR plans and programs with business leaders and COEs to build and enhance organizational capability.
  • Provide Business Continuity Planning and people support across markets and region.
  • Drive strategy for and support community engagement in support of talent and market people needs.
  • Proactively assess business risk and develop recommendations for mitigation and ensure adequate planning to address anticipated future changes.
  • Partner with HRBP team to develop policies, programs, and tools and provides timely feedback on effectiveness and value to the business.
  • Guide, train, and direct managers and employees on the implementation of HR policies and processes to ensure compliance with employment related law (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.) and alignment with company standards.
  • Proactively partnership with the Environmental Health and Safety team to enhance the visibility and support to safety initiatives and goals.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline (i.e., Human Resources, Business, etc.) with 6 years of experience in a related field (i.e., Employee Relations, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, etc.); OR 10 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent collaborative, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to influence key decision makers to support regional strategies and goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated consultative client service approach.
  • Possess strong knowledge of California employment and labor laws.
  • Ability to travel between California markets regularly (Orange County, San Diego, and Santa Barbara) and occasionally out of state (to NV, AZ, ID and/or GA).


Preferred

  • MA/MS degree + 4 years of experience preferred in a related discipline (i.e., Employee Relations, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, etc.); OR Ph.D. + 1 years of experience in a related discipline (i.e., Employee Relations, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, etc.).
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Experience in telecommunications industry.
  • PHR/SPHR certification.


USD 116,500.00 - 194,200.00 per year
