Position: HR Business Partner, Operations

Job Summary:
Reporting to the HR Director, Ops & Transportation, the HR Business Partner will work as the assigned HRBP to the Baldor Operations department. This role will partner with assigned leaders to diagnose needs, translate, and prioritize business priorities. The HRBP will provide insightful HR advice, problem-solving, hands-on guidance and direct support to the team, with a particular emphasis in managing people related projects, employee relations, organizational design and performance management. This role is on-site with the ability to work hybrid.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Onboarding:
- Partner with TA team assisting with interviewing, onboarding, immigration and orientation.
- Draft and process all employment offer letters with appropriate terms for driver candidates.
- Conduct 90-day check-ins on new hires and conduct leadership follow-ups on 90-day performance reviews.
- Partner with HR Director on research, creation and implementation of new hire onboarding experiences, including compliance documents and systems configuration.
Employee Relations:
- Coach and advise managers on the effectiveness of their teams, strategic business matters, talent topics and general HR issues.
- Conduct first level disciplinary grievance and investigation meetings including witness statements, conclusionary note to files and system documentation.
- Assist in training and development on legal and compliance to first line leaders and general workforce.
- Manage the day-to-day Human Resources needs of the leaders and their teams including acting as a point of contact for people tools, processes and policies.
Terminations:
- Review all Termination Recommendation requests for supporting documents, accuracy, and legal review for termination execution.
- Prepare termination letters, unemployment notices and updating HRIS.
- Conduct exit interviews and monitor trends.
Employee Engagement:
- Support Employee Engagement Team and leadership with research, application and monitoring of employee engagement rewards.
- Partner with HR Director on compensation and incentive program initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree with at least 5 years of human resources experience or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in use of varied HRIS software and solutions inclusive of modular based systems for payroll and benefits administration, employee development, compliance, on-boarding, recruitment and other HR functions. UKG (Kronos) experience preferred.
- Experience with a multi-state and multi-site company in the manufacturing and/or transportation industry is preferred with oversight for a geographically distributed employee population of at least 500 full-time employees.
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing and monitoring human resource metrics through dash-boarding and reporting across the organization.
- Spanish speaking is a major plus.
Baldor Operations is a 24/7 environment and shifts may change due to business needs. Full shift flexibility including 1st and 2nd shift is needed for this role.
