Job Summary:
Granicus is looking for a motivated and meticulous HRIS Coordinator to provide enthusiastic support to our Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS Administrators by handling a high volume of tier one HR inquiries, processing employee data transactions, and assisting with key activities such as benefit enrollment and payroll processing as needed.
The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, responsive, and committed to detail precision and promptness in all transactions and communications. The individual will possess a firm understanding of the unique challenges involved in managing and analyzing employment data for a high-growth organization.
What your impact will look like
- Understands the sensitive nature of HR data and adheres to all Granicus policies related to confidentiality and security of personal information while processing all transactions.
- Provides exemplary customer service through effective, proactive interaction and the appropriate escalation of issues to HR Operations Administrators or HR Management as needed.
- Employs a methodical approach to processing employee and contractor data transactions through employee self-service and HR business processes as appropriate; these transactions include onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding.
- Reviews and processes employee self-service requests such as address changes, tax withholding changes, direct deposit changes, benefit enrollment, and retirement contribution adjustments.
- Conducts routine data audits to confirm accuracy in system data as well as third party data transfers.
- Maintains a strong understanding of the relationship between the core HRIS, modules, integrated systems, and the personnel filing system and uses this understanding to propose improvements to processes across the HR Operations functions.
- Troubleshoots basic HRIS, payroll, and benefits application issues by diagnosing causes, identifying solutions, and coordinating corrective actions, escalating complex issues to the appropriate third-party provider, HR Operations Administrator, or Director of HR Operations as necessary.
- Manages the Payroll and Benefits inboxes, responding to basic inquiries and escalating complex issues to the Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS Administrators.
- Acts as project manager during mergers and acquisitions by directing workflows laid out in HR’s M&A Playbook and assists with data transfers and HR system integrations.
- Further supports payroll administration in various ways such as processing payroll as needed in the Payroll Administrator’s absence, responding to employment and income verification requests, and assisting in year-end processing.

- 3-5 years working with confidential employee data
- Experience in digital file management
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks requiring rigorous and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills regardless of the audience
- Proficiency in MS Office is required (specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Previous experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro) is strongly preferred
Security Requirements:
- Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.
