POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management of the human resources information system (HRIS), while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs throughout the organization. Responsible for analyzing and directing all functional related activities within the scope of the HRIS, managing all human capital data.This position is open to remote candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for ownership and stewardship of all company-wide people data through the HRIS system of record.
  • Provide critical thinking and influence by linking strategic objectives to long range plans including strategy development, resource allocation, work plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Innovate business processes, lead transformational change, and drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide overall prioritization of HRIS team day-to-day work assignments and resources in support of HR functions.
  • Prepare and participate in creating staff development. plans. Recruit, train, coach HRIS staff.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with HRIS constituents, including senior management and the HRIS customer base. Serve as an interface between internal/external customers and the functional team members to ensure effective definition of and delivery of HRIS applications.
  • Provide support for HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Assist in the review, testing, and implementation of HRIS upgrades or patches.
  • Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.
  • Maintain HRIS tables. Document processes and results. Maintain security and workflow.
  • Recommend and implement process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy with approval by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll). Use project management skills in managing projects. May provide overall project management for a given HR initiative.
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.

  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
  • Responsible for institutionalizing metric-based decision making, leading change, and effectively managing the performance of a team
  • Responsible for the coaching and mentoring of a team in resolving escalated issues, managing complex client concerns, and engaging in analytical assessments to help drive decision making
  • Lead cross-functional change programs and provide subject matter expertise and industry best practices related to business transformation
  • Oversee and provide direction to multi-disciplinary project teams regarding HR systems and business processes
  • Develop and lead regular review of strategic portfolio to identify and mitigate risk, solve problems, and manage crises, act as information conduit for senior leadership team
  • Develop and mentor staff; build and maintain employee morale, offer open communication, and deliver performance evaluations


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • BS Degree
  • The ideal candidate must have minimum 7 years of experience managing human capital data in an HRIS system.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong experience across the Human Resource functions including Core HR, Self Service, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Labor, Workforce Management (UKG Dimensions), and Talent Management
  • The ideal candidate must have proven success designing, implementing, maintaining, auditing, modifying, and administering complex payroll/HRIS systems
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple, dynamic priorities with strong sense of urgency; able to deliver under pressure
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful, collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must have previous experience with case management and web-based portal framework tools in a shared services environment
  • Must have demonstrated problem solving, management and decision-making skills, with the ability to apply critical thinking, flexibility, and a creative approach to solving system-related issues
  • Must have the ability to work without significant direction, and able to navigate ambiguous conditions
  • Must be able to lead and manage a diverse team
  • Must be proficient with report writing
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Experience with UKG/UltiPro

COMPENSATION

The salary range is $125,000 - $160,000depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.
