HR/Office Coordinator

The primary purpose of this position is coordinate HR processes and manage administrative workflow for the Waterloo facility and uphold Hydrite’s “Standard of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external. Inclusive is the necessity to maintain confidentiality and to focus on the needs of our employees as our primary goal.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead branch Hydrite Helps team, initiatives, and budget, including leading branch philanthropic efforts, facilitating meetings and planning events.
  • Branch Timecard Administrator responsible for reviewing, correcting, and submitting employee timecards no less than weekly.
  • Manage administrative activities for HR and plant operations. Including documentation retention, filing, and reporting, including branch legal files.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes which includes completing events in Connect.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refer more complex questions to HR Manager.
  • Provide the primary back-up support for the receptionist to cover the daily opening, lunches, absences, and vacations.
  • Administer site communication activities.
  • Facilitate employee events that take place both inside and outside of the workplace, including holiday parties, anniversary luncheons, business meetings, etc.
  • Support effective communication with all Hydrite departments to ensure success of the branch.
  • Act as primary liaison with external office service providers and corporate functions (IT, Finance, HR, etc.), as needed.
  • Ongoing personal as well as team interaction to complete tasks and projects; includes ad hoc requests for information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to the HR Manager.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required.
  • Experience with HRIS systems a plus.
  • Must be extremely people oriented and customer focused.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • A drug screening is required during the pre-employment process.
