Join Our Team as an HSE Specialist – Snowy Hydro 2.0 Project

Help create a safer home away from home in this exciting opportunity for an experienced safety professional to support our regional operations on the Snowy Hydro 2.0 contract. This FIFO role (14:7 roster), and is a great chance to join an organization that is currently experiencing significant growth!

About the Role:

As the HSE Specialist, reporting to the General Manager of Snowy 2.0 and with a dotted line to the HSE Manager - East, you will work closely with site-based personnel, leading safety initiatives such as risk assessments, safety programs, drills, and meetings. Your responsibilities will also include:

• Managing company and client-driven HSE activities
• Supporting comprehensive incident investigations and reporting
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP plans
• Training staff according to HSE requirements
• Identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective systems, policies, and procedures

About You:

To thrive in this role, you will have experience in a senior safety role, ideally within mining, civil, or facilities maintenance industries. You must hold a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety, while a degree in Health and Safety and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be highly desirable. A current, full Manual Driver's License is also required to operate site vehicles.

• Strong time management and teamwork skills
• Expertise in working with trades occupations
• Familiarity with ICAM and Root Cause Incident Investigation
• A track record of building positive relationships and motivating teams
