This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safety professional to support our regional operations working on our contract at the Snowy Hydro, 2.0. This a FIFO role on a 14:7 roster. his is your chance to join an organisation currently experiencing growth. Salary $115,000 + super.

About the job

Reporting to the General Manager, Snowy 2.0 and have a dotted line to the HSE Manager - East, you will work closely with site-based personnel, supporting safety activates such as, risk assessments, manage company and client-driven HSE activities, programs, drills and meetings. As the HSE Specialist you will undertake and support comprehensive incident investigations, comply with HACCP plans and train staff according to respective requirements. You will have the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement systems, policies and procedures. Bring your passion for safety to our team!

About you

You will have experience in a similar role, preferably working within the mining, civil or facilities maintenance industries in a senior capacity. Certificate IV Work Health & Safety is an essential qualification. However, a degree in Health and Safety & Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be preferable for this role. A current full Manual Driver’s license is mandatory in order to operate our site vehicles.

In addition to excellent time management and teamwork skills, a background working with trades occupations and exposure to ICAM and Root Cause Incident Investigation or Essential factor investigations will lead to success in this role. You will be someone who can easily build positive working relationships and foster engagement and motivation with HSE initiatives.
