HSE Engineer II for Honeywell International, Inc. (Buffalo, NY)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Interact will employees and supervisors to mentor and coach on HSE issues.

-Ensure plant personnel to understand and drive the use of HS&E standards through use of standard work, Gembas, rapid problem solving and visual management and other location practices/ programs.

-Implementation, monitoring and supporting plant programs/ policies to ensure compliance with applicable HS&E guidelines, regulations, permits and standards.

-Conduct HS&E field assessments and audits.

-Assist in development of a facility waste management plan, including the identification and administering satellite accumulation areas, developing waste collection programs and management of storage areas.

-Ensure proper packaging of wastes into containers most appropriate for the waste material, which comply with applicable transport regulation and disposal recycling site acceptance parameters.

-Prepare regulatory waste reports for submission to appropriate agencies.

-Maintain compliance with regulatory with Honeywell requirements.

-40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Physical Science, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field, and three (3) years of chemical/manufacturing experience. Full term of experience must include: Microsoft Software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; managing HSE compliance; strategy development; risk analysis; compliance assessment; and internal auditing. Up to 5% domestic travel required.
