Job Description
- Identify potential environmental and social impacts from projects concepts
- Support and challenge as appropriate the project teams to employ good HSE practices in avoiding or mitigating adverse impacts on the community and the environment
- Identify all relevant sustainability aims and work with the team to adopt appropriate actions
- Lead on the determination of Net Positive Impact and planning where applicable
- Work with, and lead where applicable, HSE teams to implement environmental and social requirements, providing environmental technical expertise and support
- Identify the need for, and coordinate, any ESG/HSE expertise needed to support specific deliverables of the project
- Provide environmental and social support as required by major project processes, guidelines, and local regulations
- Identify regulatory applicability
- Create innovative system solutions for senior management to monitor ESG/HSE processes
- Manage/Maintain ESG/HSE Database/Software
- Contributes to the design, implementation, and upgrading of ESG/HSE reporting systems, which enhances the accuracy of reporting of ESG throughout NOV globally
- Coordinate and prepare responses to customer requests for ESG/HSE-related statistics for Sales, Quotation, Project Management, or other Wellbore Technologies departments as necessary
- Manage incoming data (Incidents, Waste Management, Industrial Hygiene, Green House Gas Emissions, and others)
- Manage security access and responsibilities for Wellbore Technologies databases and SharePoint and Wiki Sites
- Ensures data integrity of systems, databases, and all reports that are disseminated for internal or external use are timely and accurate
- Perform monthly, quarterly, or annual gap analysis of the Wellbore Technologies ESG and incident reporting and hours entry, loss analysis
- Plan, coordinate, and implement all phases of the ESG/HSE reporting system
- Manage Wellbore Technologies-specific database subscriptions & data mapping
- Work closely with NOV Corporate HSE group and other NOV strategic services on ESG/HSE-related matters
- Analyze ESG/HSE trends/KPI's and develop improvement plans as required
- Support other ESG/HSE-related activities within the group as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Detail-oriented with strong project management, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and presentation skills
- Experience with MS Excel ( Pivot Tables, V-Lookups ) , MS Visio, data analytics, and queries
- Experience managing project work with tight deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to engage at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing project plans
- Comfortable in both individual contributor roles and cross-functional team management roles
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental/climate science, sustainability, or public health (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of experience in ESG reporting frameworks and methodologies including TCFD, IIRC, GRI and SASB, and the GHG Protocol
- Experience in conducting a GHG inventory build and understanding of emission factors databases
