Job Description

Essential Functions/Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Ensure the building/facilities are functioning properly and meet all business operating requirements.
  • Manage and monitor supplier performance to ensure all maintenance and improvements are accomplished on time and at competitive rates.
  • Ensure our suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors are aware of our HSE commitment and meet the requirements set forth in the Permit to Work Program (PTW).
  • Manage the annual MYB process for the facility requirements (CAPEX and Cost Center).
  • Communicate and collaborate with employees and Executive team to ensure the facility is functioning efficiently and effectively to support the business needs and requirements.
  • Perform construction projects to agreed schedule and budget to support business expansion and growth.
  • Ability to rapidly respond to all emergency facility issues while onsite or remote at all times.
  • Ensure the Facility Access control system is operational and control of access cards is controlled per Chorus.
  • Continuously improve the site security systems and requirements to ensure DOT, Customer and Thales requirements are delivered.
  • Conduct timely audits off the access control systems to ensure all access cards are accounted for.
  • Ensure employees, customers and contractors are adhering to the site security policy.
  • Create/maintain an automated maintenance system for the buildings.
  • Deploy and promote the site HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Strategy and HSE Management System
  • Ensure company processes are compliant to Thales, customer and regulatory HSE requirements
  • Ensure all site HSE certifications (ISO14001 and ISO 45001) are properly managed and maintained
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in regards to HSE Regulatory requirements and their impact on the company's procedures and policies
  • Act as the main interface with Customer, Supplier and HSE Regulatory authorities
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable HSE regulations/requirements (OSHA, EPA, local authorities etc)
  • Manage and promote the HSE training requirements necessary for all company employees
  • Develop and manage the company's annual HSE audit plan
  • Ensure site HSE processes are aligned with Group Policies, Tools and Processes (CHORUS and Intelex)
  • Define, collects and analyses operational indicators, assess results and suggests improvements if necessary
  • Analyze legal and other requirements. Identify the HSE risks and impacts and deliver the HSE compliance matrix
  • Collaborate, develop relationships and share Best practices with worldwide Thales counterparts
  • Lead the annual HSE Management review with the Executive team
  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the HSE program
  • Maintain the Business Continuity program across the IFEC sites
  • Participate in internal and external audits of the IFEC sites as well as other Thales sites as required (AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001)


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required in Operations, Chemical, Business or related discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a HSE regulatory management role
  • Familiar with all applicable HSE regulations/requirements.
  • Familiar with ISO14001, ISO45001, AS9100 or ISO9001 standards
  • Strong English language, oral communication and technical writing skills required
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure situations
  • Ability to train others
  • Must work well in developing relationships with other departments within organization
  • Accuracy, attention to details and consistency in work


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an Aerospace service environment a plus
  • Q-Pulse (QMS), Intelex, SAP (ERP), Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point

Special Position Requirements:
  • Schedule: Regular participation in meetings and conducting work outside of core business hours including weekends due to global business and reporting timelines
  • Physical Environment: None
  • Travel: Domestic travel approximately 15% of the time

General office environment, some lifiting may be required.
