We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a HRE Senior Specialist supporting this location and will be trusted to work on the John's Creek, Georgia, US.

In this role, a typical day will include:

This person will be responsible for taking effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions align with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard provisions of any labor agreement, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained.

General Employee/Labor Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the wellbeing of employees including:

• Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace
• Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions
• Investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence
• Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee health and safety
• Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Work hours: Monday- Friday (40hr)
• Travel Requirements: N/A
• Sponsorship available: No
• Preferred experience: OSHA 10 or 30 certifications/Environment Regulatory experience/DOT, EPA, EPD Compliance
