HSE Specialist

Job Summary:  The Specialist– HSEQ RAVS position requires an in-depth knowledge of the ISNetworld system and HSEQ RAVS processes. Specialist– HSEQ RAVS works on the HSEQ RAVS team to filter/answer questions on ISNetworld, represent their team in meetings regarding functionality updates to ISNetworld, and participate in various research activities. It requires that one possess strong familiarity with OSHA legislation and standards, be self-motivated, able to work as part of a team, and willing to assist with the day-to-day demands inherent to a rapidly growing organization as well as lead various projects as needed.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in industry monitoring, HSE professional organizations and other opportunities to continue personal and professional growth
• Review contractor HSEQ documentation and processes, and communicate compliance/gaps regarding regulatory requirements
• Coordinate various product development and implementation initiatives
• Proactively analyze processes and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement
• Manage H-RAVS quality processes, including quality metrics and KPIs
• Gather and implement on feedback regarding quality concerns and improvement
• Research and develop various resources and reference documents for clients
• Provide mentorship and training for team members
• Assist with New Business meetings, industry outreach events and organizations

Education and Training

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience
• ASP certification or equivalent preferred or industry equivalent

Knowledge and Skills

• 4+ years HSE or applicable site level practical experience
• Skillful in contractor/supplier or reviewer management a plus
• Understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, related state statutes/regulations or local ordinances and ISO standards
• Ability to interpret and effectively communicate technical documents and legislative references
• Proven skills or education in auditing HSE systems a plus
• Proficient skills in programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Demonstrated personal initiative
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient presentation skills
• Solid analytical and problem-solving ability
• Demonstrated mastery of other roles within the company, Skillful in contractor/supplier, Client and reviewer functionality in ISNetworld
• Technical knowledge of the ISNetworld data base system a plus
• Desire to assume increasing levels of leadership responsibility
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

The location: ISN is based in Dallas, TX. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the country, with a wide variety of excellent schools, entertainment venues, sports teams, and museums. ISN’s headquarters is in uptown Dallas, a short walk from multiple restaurants and shops, with easy access to public transportation and major highways.

Employees must be within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX office and be willing to come into the office for required trainings, events, team activities, and meetings.
