Role
HSE Team Lead β Bawal Manufacturing, India β As anΒ HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Team Leader, your role involves overseeing critical health, safety, and environmental practices within an organization. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this position:
Your responsibilities
Risk Assessment and Controls:
- Initiate risk assessments activities along with departmental managers to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Monitor timely completion of actions raised and verify effectiveness.
- Coordinate with management and maintenance teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
Legal and other requirements
- Monitor and maintain the legal compliance register and liaise with respective departments for timely renewals.
- Assist during compliance audits by Government authorities and other local legal bodies.
- Evaluate legal compliance on site.
Competence and employee engagement
- Facilitate training based on the competence matrix.
- Organize and deliver HSE training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
- Carry out the effectiveness of training audits.
- Conduct regular safety committee meetings that are effective and communicate the outcomes regularly.
Governance and performance management
- Coordinate with the Quality team for conducting internal, external ISO and customer audits.
- Set up process audit calendars and ensure audits are completed within the time frame and actions closed effectively.

- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel
Education Qualification
Bachelorβs degree in safety, engineering, science or environment.
Industrial safety from a Regional Labour Institute (RLI)
Certification from NEBOSH / ASP / CIH
Experience
8 to 10 yearsβ experience in Health Safety and Environment
