Primary Purpose

- Establishes goals for regional terminals

- Makes terminal recommendations based on performance metrics, capacity analysis as well as asset and contractor utilization

- Keeps Director informed on regional metrics for their respective operating region and includes detailed changes between budgeted and actual results for upper management

- Collaborates with all groups within the Customer Operations department to provide high quality customer experience, support the commercial and operating strategies, and gain competitive advantage through technology-led proactive customer engagement, and efficient terminal, equipment, and specialized services

- Develops and promotes a united vision for terminal managers to drive sub departmental goals

Principal Duties

- Directs standards for managers on all daily operations of terminals to include shift/daily planning, property management, and safety & process audits

- Compiles regional terminal analysis and provides insight into data driven results

- Proactively collaborates with internal stakeholders on exception management and local operations projects to ensure no service interruptions occur

- Oversees terminal development decisions by making data driven recommendations regarding capital projects and expenses

- Communicates across Customer Operations groups real-time data on crucial movements to inform impacted partners across the network

- Strategizes with external business partners (i.e. port point of contact, maintenance vendors, drayage partners) and internal customers (i.e. field operations & police)

- Uses experience to tailor customer communications and make autonomous decisions

- Responsible for tactical capacity inventory management and strategic recommendations
