HUB Processor (SOPS)

SCOPE:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Visually check donated clothing items for cleanliness and damage. Identify unacceptable items and place in salvage gaylords.
2. Hang garments and place on proper racks.
3. Check labels to separate clothing on designer list for e-commerce sales.
4. Achieve hang count goals of 140 pieces per hour at a minimum and averaging 125 pieces per hour at the end of probationary period.
5. Empty and hang a gaylord of soft-line in 4 hours.
6. Empty and sort a gaylord of soft-line in 1 hour.
7. Separate goods by category.
8. Place color-coded tags on items based upon chart.
9. Move bins and gaylords to proper location.
10. Keep work area clean.
11. Work from policies, standards, and instructions.

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Demonstrate by words and actions a commitment to the Goodwill. Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed and maintain required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies.
2. Follow safety rules, ensure safe operating conditions are followed within area of responsibility, wear required personal protective equipment and clothing, and keep work area in clean and orderly condition.
3. Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

1. Ability to communicate clearly in English and understand verbal/written instructions.
2. Ability to follow instructions.
3. Ability to deal with a wide variety of people in a positive manner; excellent customer service skills.
4. Ability to work inconsistent and atypical hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
5. Ability to deal with a wide variety of people in a positive manner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Repetitive pushing, pulling, stretching, reaching, kneeling stooping, and bending.
2. Prolonged periods of standing and walking
3. Regularly lifting or carrying of heavy objects in excess of 25 lbs.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Hangers, racks, bins, tagging gun, scissors, pallet jack, hand truck, dust mops, brooms, carts, totes, vacuum, lift gear, furniture dolly, labels, markers and other standard warehouse and safety equipment
