Within the CSG, the Human Exploration and Space Flight (HESF) Division supports our NASA customer in all aspects of human space flight. This position is in the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Programs organization of HESF and specifically supports the Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destinations Program (CLDP) in that portfolio. We are seeking an individual who can help the CLDP Utilization Office attain its goals and strategic vision, leading to the successful deployment and operation of commercial space stations.
This is a fulltime position based in Huntsville, AL that allows for local telecommuting 1-2 days a week.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting the CLDP Utilization Office
  • Applying program management processes and products including schedule management
  • Coordinating requirements and technical objectives with subject matter experts and collaborators
  • Preparing and presenting decision packages and change requests for program boards and working groups
  • Assisting in acquisition processes and documentation development
  • Performing other duties for the customer as required

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Typically 3 or more years in a professional engineering/scientific environment
  • Ability to effectively use oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
  • Ability to work in a quick-paced, small core team that leads technical discussions across a large technical community and influences teams across the NASA enterprise
  • Initiative and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
  • Excellent teaming and leadership skills with an ability to multi-task across various issues/disciplines simultaneously
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills, including development of and briefing of decision packages and complex information in a succinct and polished manner.
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
