Human Resource Business Partner
Job Description
WSP is currently initiating a search for a HR Business Partner (Sr. Consultant, Human Resources) for our Texas District. The position can be based in Dallas, TX or any WSP USA office.
The HR Business Partner will contribute to and support the delivery of human resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, innovation, goal attainment, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Your Impact
- Under general guidance, deliver HR policies and programs, partner with district leadership, provide advice and guidance to managers, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements within a region or business line.
- Under general guidance, have latitude to use discretion, professional knowledge, and judgment in advising in matters of significance to the firm, such as FLSA determination, promotion, salary, and special payment decisions.
- Diagnose, coach and/or advise managers on day-to-day concerns related to employee performance, productivity and engagement challenges.
- Provide trends, feedback and other ancillary data that could improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of our team and platform performance.
- Interpret and implement management policies, suggesting options and alternatives for manager approval.
- Be assigned projects requiring research or investigation into matters of significance to the firm, such as HR related investigations and comparative analysis assignments.
- Participate in the resolution of employee relations issues.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree with major concentration in HR related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five to seven years' HR experience.
- Evidence of business acumen with ability to influence and advise managers and leaders.
- Able to rigorously assess talent with a combination of objectivity and a hint of intuition.
- Energy and passion about human resources and advancing talent.
- Desire to succeed in a fast-paced, matrixed, ever-changing environment.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity.
- Solutions-oriented and creative problem solver in a sometimes resource-constrained environment.
- Experience using data and/or analytics to arrive at outcomes.
- Self-starter; results oriented and motivated professional.
- Computer proficiency with advanced skills in Excel, Power Point, and other Office suite applications.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

- HR Certifications (SHRM or PHR)
