Ameresco has a new opportunity for a Human Resource Business Partner to provide human resource business unit support and partner with our dynamic HR Team on programs and projects.
Responsibilities:
Work with Business Unit leaders and manage Talent Acquisition Specialist to coordinate regional outreach to attract, source, screen, select, recruit, hire, and onboard world class talent;
Coach management in resolution of employee relation issues, and provide management with accurate, timely and effective documentation;
Lead conduct investigations, conduct or administer education, and training sessions, and be primary source for employee communications on corporate programs and policies. Responsible for pre- and post-termination processes and administration;
Assist with weekly onboarding live trainings;
Drive performance evaluations, compensation, training, and communication programs; and provide guidance on policies and procedures;
Apply corporate and local policies, procedures, programs and guidelines within state and Federal requirements. Comply with internal and external reporting requirements related to Human Resources functions;
Record Maintenance; initiates, maintains, and reports on data and records as required for operations and Human Resources, state and Federal compliance, internal and external audits, and as required;
Assists in training management on policies, procedures and best practices; interviewing, hiring, disciplinary action, documentation, terminations, promotions, performance reviews and other employment actions;
Properly maintain employee files, documentation, and database; monitor business metrics and prepare reports;
Perform exit interviews, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions when appropriate;
Participate in HR planning, practices, training, development, and meetings; monitor legal updates and collaborate internally to identify opportunities for best practices, efficiency, and continuous improvement;
Foster a positive and collaborative customer and team-oriented work environment; and
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
5 years progressive HR generalist, sourcing, recruiting, and employee relations experience.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Workday, ADP Workforce Now, MS Office, including spreadsheet, reporting, technical research, and presentation skills.
Proven knowledge and application of federal and state employment law and best practices.
Excellent relationship management, internal consulting, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong verbal, written, computer, multi-media sourcing outreach, communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to safeguard confidential material and information.
Prior HR experience within engineering, commercial construction, or energy related work environment desirable.
Travel may be required.
