Human Resource Intern (4 months)

The Diagnostic Group, LLC is part of the Diagnostics Business Area of Demant and is seeking a driven HR Intern to join our team in the Eden Prairie, Minnesota office. The HR Intern will report in-person to the Eden Prairie office, Monday - Friday during business hours, 20+ hours/week (hours are flexible between 7am - 5pm). The internship will be for a 4 month period.
The HR Intern is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department in handling administrative tasks, HR projects, maintaining records and personnel files, preparing for recruitment needs, and planning employee focused events.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and up to date human resources files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employees recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Helps on specialized HR projects.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be pursuing a business/HR-related degree
- Great attitude and enthusiasm.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- None
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at time
