Human Resource Intern - Boise, ID

Summary

As a HR Intern at J.R. Simplot Company, you will be an intricate part of a fast-paced, future-oriented team at one of the nation's largest privately held food and agribusiness companies.

The assignment is expected to last 12 months; part-time while school is in session, and full-time during the summer. The candidate for this position must live locally.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Labor Relations team to uncover opportunities as we stand up a new function within the organization
• Assist with identifying, documenting, and streamlining critical Leave and Absence activities
• Maintain knowledge of HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices
• Contribute to compliance-related assignments for the Labor Relations team

Typical Education

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
• Junior/Senior preferred, but not required

Relevant Experience

• The ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently
• The ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment
• Self-direction, a high level of detail-orientation, problem-solving skills with a burning desire to contribute to the organization's success
• Experienced with MicroSoft Office Suite
